In the second quarter of 2025, the maps and navigation app landscape on Android in Australia saw varied performance trends. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the key metrics for the top five apps in this category.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 10.7K in early April and reaching approximately 15K by the end of June. Meanwhile, weekly active users showed fluctuations, with a notable rise from 511K to 546K over the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a stable download rate, beginning at 10.6K and climbing to 14.9K by June's end. The app's active user base saw a slight decline at the start of the quarter but recovered to about 675K by the end.
